Job Description:
Theoris Services is assisting our client in their search for Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of a robust and scalable cloud-based platform, primarily within AWS (with some Azure exposure). This individual will serve as both a hands-on engineer and strategic architect, driving the organization's cloud strategy, improving integration, and ensuring performance, reliability, and security across a growing cloud ecosystem.

The environment currently supports approximately 15 cloud applications and continues to evolve toward a fully integrated, cloud-native model. This is an opportunity to influence architecture direction, mentor a talented team, and shape the next generation of infrastructure and integration within a collaborative team of five cloud professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and oversee the organization's AWS-based cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all aspects of cloud architecture, strategy, and operations.
  • Develop and coordinate architecture across application development, data management, identity and access management (IAM), networking, and security.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align cloud solutions with business requirements and identify areas for optimization and modernization.
  • Perform security monitoring, log aggregation, and analysis of security events; guide remediation efforts in coordination with security teams.
  • Evaluate and integrate SaaS applications and platforms into the AWS environment, creating an integration platform that connects cloud and on-prem systems.
  • Conduct performance tuning, risk assessment, and identification of design or implementation gaps in existing infrastructure.
  • Mentor cloud engineers and principals on best practices and architectural standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience architecting AWS-based cloud infrastructure within a multi-account environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute cloud strategies across complex environments.
  • Strong infrastructure background, including Microsoft server infrastructure and virtualization technologies.
  • Experience integrating SaaS applications and platforms within AWS.
  • Expertise in Terraform scripting and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Proficiency with containers (ECS, EKS, Fargate, or equivalent).Deep understanding of IAM (policies, roles, SAML federation, cross-account access, instance profiles, and service-linked roles).
  • Experience with AWS security services (Security Hub, GuardDuty, Macie, Inspector, WAF).
  • Knowledge of cloud networking and transport services (Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Transit VPC, VPN, Peering).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
