About the Team:

Join our team focused on accelerating AI automation across the Blockchain Platform. We have developed NodeSmith and other agent systems and are currently partnering with teams across the Blockchain Platform to launch production-grade agents and maximize the use of AI tools.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop core services and SDKs for long-running, production-grade agent systems.
• Lead projects that leverage tools like Cursor and Claude Code to empower engineers across the organization.
• Collaborate with Blockchain Platform teams to ship agents effectively.
• Utilize languages and frameworks including Python, Go, LangGraph, GoogleADK, MCPs, and more.

Your Impact:

• Accelerate AI initiatives across multiple engineering teams in the Blockchain Platform.
• Minimize operational challenges through intelligent automation.
• Establish core components for reliable, long-running agents.
• Create reusable AI building blocks for company-wide deployment.

What We Look For:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in software engineering.
• Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services, with a strong understanding of service-oriented architecture.
• Commitment to writing high-quality, well-tested code that addresses customer needs.
• A genuine enthusiasm for creating an open financial system that connects the world.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Desire to build and scale agent systems.
• Experience using AI coding tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot on a daily basis.
• Familiarity with agent frameworks and concepts.
• A history of rapid growth in your previous organizations (from startup to mid-size).
• Experience with blockchain technologies (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum).
• Proficiency in Golang, Python, Docker, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
• Crypto knowledge, including an understanding of onchain activities, Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and interacting with dApps or blockchain-based services.

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range from $186,065 to $218,900 USD. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include bonus eligibility, equity eligibility, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
