JOB DESCRIPTION:
- We are seeking a Linux System Administrator to work with a focused and fun team to engineer, build, deploy, and maintain multiple environments for the purpose of development, testing, and production hosting of custom enterprise business applications on behalf of a government customer.
- You will be providing onsite and remote support of Tier 1 -3 engineering support requests. Infrastructures consist of various Desktops, Servers, Storage, Networks, and Virtual technologies.
- Administrator of Linux servers and MySQL database servers in an AWS cloud environment.
- Administrator of cloud environments AWS/Azure and usage of cloud services.
- Contribute to application and database migration activities.
- Develop scripts for automation of build-out, maintenance, and configuration of virtualized systems.
- Deployment of updates, IAVA patches, and Anti-Virus updates.
- Troubleshoots and resolves hardware, software, and communications problems.
- Maintains web application hosting systems to include web servers, database servers, and associated development systems (e.g., Team Foundation Server)
- Maintains system reliability and uptime of production applications by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
- Contributes to system configuration management in accordance with contract inventory and customer requirements.
- Create, update, and maintain technical documentation including process diagrams, standard operating procedures, and system documentation.

AWS Certification: (1 certification)
- AWS Solutions Architect - Associate
- AWS SysOps
- 3+ years of Systems Administration Experience
- Understanding of Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, Centos, Ubuntu, Fedora, Scientific Linux, Debian, Amazon L2 etc.).
- Ability to research the latest technological developments in relevant operating systems to identify impact and anticipate changes in the organization's operating environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Experience Configuring and maintaining Linux servers.
- Demonstrated experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) (C2S) systems administration.
- Experience deploying AWS features (Auto Scaling, Elastic Load Balancer, CloudWatch, Lambda, Elastic Container Service).
- Experience with scripting tools (PowerShell, JSON, BASH and PYTHON
- Experience with infrastructure troubleshooting, to include direct interaction with vendors and service providers.
- Experience patching and updating Linux server operating systems and configuring Linux server network integration.
- Experience in the design, implementation, procurement, tradecraft, or maintenance of various layers of network infrastructure.
