Sidebar, an exclusive speakeasy-style cocktail bar draws inspiration from the early-1900s Texas oil boom and will be discreetly connected to Credence. Position Summary: Our barback supports our bartenders by restocking liquor, mixers, and glassware, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the bar runs smoothly during service. They play a crucial behind-the-scenes role in keeping the bar organized and efficient. This position requires speed, attention to detail, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains high knowledge regarding company's service standards and food and beverage offerings alike.
- Executes all shift cleaning duties and side work
- Restocks the bar and back area throughout the shift
- Polishes glassware and silverware to Credence standards
- Delivers tabletop items in a timely and professional manner
- Greets guests when approaching table and accurately delivers items at the request of the Bartender or Sommelier
- Communicates any relevant messages to bartenders and/or managers regarding guests' requests/needs
- Sets up and breaks down workstation in accordance with department procedures and standards
- Maintains adequate par levels of condiments, garnishes, and other related items.
- Ensures workstation is always organized and clean
- Completes all opening, running, and closing duties as assigned
- Complies with uniform standards
- High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma preferred
- TABC and Food Handler Certified
- Previous experience in fine dining restaurants preferred
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Passion for culinary arts and hospitality
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
- Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
- Knowledge of general sanitary and safety practices
- Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Medical membership with preventive and diagnostic coverage during the first year (part-time)
