Opportunity:

Certified Surgical Tech (CST) - CVOR

Job Details:

• Work as a surgical technologist in the Operating Room with focus on cardiovascular procedures
• 5+ years of surgical tech experience required
• Open heart experience required
• Tertiary care center and/or designated level I or II trauma center experience required
• Travel experience highly preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NBSTSA
• On-call responsibilities include 1-2 call nights per week and every third weekend
• Weekend schedule requires every third weekend
• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures and problem-solving abilities
• Verify items on physician preference cards and ensure accurate patient billing
• Assemble and operate surgical equipment, disposables, and sterilization equipment
• Maintain sterile environments and monitor sterile field integrity
• Set up sterile fields with instruments in timely manner
• Keep accurate count of medications, sponges, instruments, and sharps per policy
• Anticipate surgeon needs and assist during procedures
• Candidates must live outside 50-mile radius of facility
