Job Description

Dewberry is seeking a Structural (Bridge) Engineer interested in developing their career to join our structures department in our Fairfax, VA office. The successful candidate will be part of a team designing simple and complex bridges (primarily of concrete and steel construction) and a variety of transportation related structures (retaining walls, culverts, and other miscellaneous structures). The candidate will be involved in the development of Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) packages, and assisting with bridge safety inspections. Required Skills & Required Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited 4-year engineering college

5+ years of experience in bridge and retaining wall projects preferably to VDOT and/or MD SHA standards

Master's degree is preferred

Virginia Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred

Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications

Knowledge of OpenBridge Designer, Leap Bridge Concrete, CSiBridge, and/or similar analysis programs preferred

Proficiency using Microstation

Strong leadership skills and desire to deliver the highest quality projects to our clients

Proficient in MS Office (WORD and EXCEL)

Strong verbal and written communication skills
