Acute med/surg experience 1+ years within the last year
Ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time

Description:
This is a Med Surg RN position in a fast-paced environment.
The unit consists of 22 beds and employs a diverse staff.
Staffing includes a charge nurse, RNs, patient care assistants, unit secretaries, and sitters.
Patient ratios are a maximum of 6:1.
Standard equipment includes electronic medical records system.
Typical duties include care for med/surg patients.
Skills required include IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion and maintenance, central line maintenance, and medication administration.
Effective communication with all members of the care team is essential.
Documentation in electronic health records is a key responsibility.
Additional procedures may include continuous bladder irrigation and nasogastric tube insertion and maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have a friendly, positive, patient-centered, and team-focused personality.
