Job Function:

The NCAA is seeking a Business Analyst to support Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). This position, reporting to the Managing Director of FP&A, will deliver strategic financial insights through modeling, dashboard development, data visualization, and systems integration. The NCAA is undergoing data transformation, of which this role will play a critical role as a liaison between Finance, IT, and other functions within Admin Services. This position offers the opportunity to shape the future financial and operational data delivery across the organization and identify solutions to align with overarching organizational goals.
Job Responsibilities:
Financial Insights & Capability Building
  • Build and enhance business intelligence dashboards (e.g., Domo, Tableau) to visualize key financial metrics and performance indicators.
  • Support executive presentations with dashboarding and visuals that facilitate those presentations, including developing and maintaining repeatable/automated visuals in our Domo library
  • Support scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to evaluate business risks and opportunities.
  • Have strong business and financial acumen to translate business requirements into meaningful dashboard-based solutions and visualizations.
Communication & Collaboration
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical developers, ensuring mutual understanding and clarity.
  • Collaborate with IT and Finance stakeholders to ensure data integrity and system alignment across planning platforms.
  • Participate as the finance subject matter expert on cross-functional IT project calls to support ongoing data transformation related to new data sources, business intelligence projects, break/fix solutions and enhancements.
  • Support training efforts of internal stakeholders to train on new dashboards and toolsets.
Process Improvement
  • Document and improve financial processes, including automation of recurring reporting tasks.
  • Develop process maps, data flows, and user stories to support solution design as needed in coordination with IT to support data transformation projects.
  • Support developing business requirement documents to be leveraged by IT when necessary or by internal Finance teams by gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements through stakeholder interviews as needed.
  • Lead or support special projects related to financial systems upgrades, integrations, or data governance.
  • Bring a proactive, analytical mindset with a strong desire to learn and contribute to a high-performing team.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or business analytics.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Domo.
  • Familiarity with planning systems (e.g., Workday Adaptive Planning, Oracle EPM, Anaplan) and data tools (e.g., SQL, Alteryx, Python).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong financial acumen related to finance and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with project management or agile methodologies.
  • Ability to build relationships, influence without authority, and drive alignment among diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in documenting business processes, workflows, and requirements.
