Senior Tax Accountant

Kforce's client, a boutique CPA Firm located in the Union, NJ area, is adding a Tax Senior and Manager to their team. The roles are open to expansion.Responsibilities:
- Review and provide compliance with federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts, and non-profits as well as high net-worth individuals; Will also serve some multi-state and international entities and customers
- Strategic tax planning
- Compliance with current tax laws and regulations; Client communication and representation to tax authorities
- Risk management
- Collaboration with other departments
- For the supervisor role: lead, mentor, and supervise a team
- Bachelor's in Accounting; Masters a plus
- CPA or EA or pursuing preferred
- Minimum of 3+ years for Tax senior and 7+ years for Tax Manager - experience should be with 1040's, as well as small to mid-sized business S-corp, C-corp and Partnership and Hight Net-Worth tax filing, planning, and strategic services
- Excellent communication skills: interpersonal, written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple deliverables simultaneously
- IRS e-Filings
- CCH Walters Kluwer software a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
