Ink Technician

Pay Rate :

$29.36 p/hr

Category/Shift :

3rd Shift

Training schedule: 6 am - 2 pm

After training: 6 pm - 3 am Mon - Thurs, and 6 pm - 10 pm Friday

OT as requested by Manager

The Job You Will Perform:

• Color matches and re-matches

• Manufacture ink batches for print jobs

• Press side technical assistance

• Maintain customer ink inventory

• File ink usage reports

• Attend production meetings and other customer meetings as required

• Other technical issues needed by customer: Ink training, ink improvements, cost reductions, etc.

• Additional quality control and reporting functions as requested

• Maintain customer color on press during production runs

• Work with internal and external customers through the pre-flight and customer approval process

The Skills You Will Bring:

• Goal oriented

• Good communication skills

• Good math skills

• Desire to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment

• At least two years' experience with flexographic printing inks preferred

• Knowledge of and previous experience with ink color matching and press side trouble shooting is preferred

• Experience in pre-printed liner applications is highly desirable
