Per Diem Family Nurse Practitioner

Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking compassionate and skilled Family Nurse Practitioners to join our team and provide outstanding patient care.

JOB SUMMARY:
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will be essential in delivering high-quality medical care to patients of all ages with various acute and chronic conditions. Collaborating with a dedicated team, you will diagnose, treat, and educate patients while upholding our commitment to exceptional care and service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your contributions will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and fellow team members.
• Provide friendly, accessible healthcare to all individuals seeking our services.
• Lead, direct, and support during emergencies, ensuring comfort and reassurance for patients.
• Navigate a fast-paced work environment and maintain performance under variable stress conditions.
• Conduct medical assessments and provide treatment and management for patients, including primary care and urgent care services.
• Perform medical procedures such as laceration repairs, nail removals, injections, and abscess drainage.
• Monitor and ensure appropriate levels of care for clinic patients.
• Oversee the operation of onsite laboratory services, x-rays, and injections as applicable.
• Maintain clinical core competency and uphold professional standards.
• Collaborate with leadership to align operations with medical policies and quality care standards.
• Participate in policy development and revisions influencing medical practice and patient satisfaction.
• Assist in educational programs for other staff to promote continuous professional development.
• Represent the clinic at internal and external meetings as needed.
• Provide mentorship to other medical staff to enhance service quality and patient satisfaction.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?
Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
• Active APRN state license.
• Current Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Board Certification.
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain upon hire.
• DOT certification or willingness to acquire upon hire.
• Current BLS certification.

WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?
Full-time team members work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours a week, including 12-hour shifts on weekdays and every other weekend. PRN team members are scheduled as needed.

ABOUT BAPTIST HEALTH URGENT CARE:
Baptist Health Urgent Care operates 23 locations across Arkansas and is part of Urgent Team, one of the largest independent operators of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. Our walk-in centers provide a wide range of healthcare services, including treatment for injuries and illnesses as well as occupational health and wellness care. The centers are open seven days a week: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Our Little Rock-Markham Street location offers weekend hours from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. All Baptist Health Urgent Care centers are Accredited Care Centers, recognized for our dedication to safety, quality, and comprehensive services.
