Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Location: South Tucson
Terms: Temp to Hire
Salary/rate: 18.00/hour

The Warehouse Associate is an individual contributor responsible for efficiently receiving, handling, storing, and distributing materials within a storeroom or customer location. This role follows established procedures to maintain accurate inventory, support order fulfillment, and ensure a safe and organized warehouse environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Order Processing & Shipment Preparation
    • Processes, picks, packs, and loads customer orders in accordance with production schedules, work orders, and shipping documents.
    • Uses pick sheets (paper or electronic) to locate and retrieve items.
    • Stacks, wraps, and secures items on pallets using pallet jacks or forklifts, ensuring product integrity and accuracy.
  • Receiving & Put-Away
    • Unloads and receives incoming materials; unpacks and inspects goods for damage or discrepancies against invoices.
    • Sorts, labels, and stores materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to established organization systems (size, style, product code, etc.).
    • Installs strapping, bracing, or padding when necessary to protect items during movement or storage.
  • Inventory Management
    • Performs cycle counts and assists with overall inventory control.
    • Weighs or counts items to ensure compliance with company standards.
    • Enters and maintains accurate inventory records in computerized systems; documents discrepancies and escalates issues as needed.
  • Shipping & Logistics Support
    • Consolidates freight, verifies shipping methods, and communicates special handling requirements (e.g., oversize loads).
    • Loads outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy, proper handling, and compliance with routing requirements.
  • Equipment Operation & Safety
    • Operates warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers as needed.
    • Follows all warehouse safety rules, procedures, and equipment certification requirements.
    • Completes additional tasks and duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
Job Qualifications
  • Experience & Education
    • Minimum of 1 year of related warehouse or material-handling experience preferred.
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Technical & Functional Skills
    • Experience in loading, unloading, picking, packing, and general warehouse operations; forklift/cherry picker experience preferred.
    • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work orders, operating instructions, and procedural documents.
    • Basic computer proficiency and/or demonstrated ability to learn new systems; experience with MS Office, Vista, Control, SX.e, or Prophet 21 is a plus.
    • Basic math skills, including the ability to work with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; ability to compute ratios and percentages preferred.
    • Ability to prepare routine reports and written correspondence.
