Your Day at Lowe's

As a Customer Service Associate, your primary responsibilities will include welcoming customers to our store, helping them find the right products and services, and ensuring their needs are met. You will spend most of your time interacting with customers, addressing their inquiries, and organizing products. Your specific duties may vary depending on the department you work in, which may include Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers with a friendly and professional approach.
  • Help customers locate merchandise and handle products efficiently.
  • Restock merchandise in areas where shelves are empty.
  • Accurately process customer orders and deliveries.
  • Cross-train in various sections of the store to provide optimal service.
  • Prepare department-specific merchandise based on customer needs.
  • Guide customers through the shopping and checkout processes.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6 months of experience with computers for information management.
  • 6 months of experience using retail technology like smartphones and tablets.
  • The ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic operations.
  • Ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing or sitting.
  • Able to lift 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with assistance if needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 months of retail or customer service experience.
  • Fluency in multiple languages.
  • Certification in a relevant trade area (e.g., plumbing, electrical, etc.).

Travel Requirements

This role typically does not require travel, but may occasionally involve attending meetings or training at neighboring stores.

Working Conditions

Work environments will vary by location, with exposure to both indoor and outdoor conditions. Associates may experience different climates and noise levels.
