We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing and Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full-cycle billing process, ensuring accurate submission of claims and timely resolution of outstanding accounts. This position requires candidates to have a prior knowledge of Oncology and/ or infusion billing. This is an on site position in Sandy Springs, GA. The hours are M-F 7:30AM-4:00PM with a 30 minute lunch.

salary: $18 - $20 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive Medical Billing for physician services, with a focus on Oncology Billing and Infusion Services
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits through various third-party portals and carrier websites.
  • Thoroughly understand patient insurance plans, coverage, and requirements for various carriers.
  • Handle self-pay accounts, managing inquiries and payment arrangements.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable, appealing denials and working through claim issues.
  • Manage and execute corrected claim submissions, including rebilling and submitting all necessary supporting documentation.
  • Identify and resolve billing and coding issues to maximize reimbursement and minimize delays.
  • Medical Coding knowledge
