Position Summary:

Vaughn & BCI is hiring a detail-oriented Food Sanitation Specialist to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the dining facility at Warner Robins Air Force Base. This role is critical in maintaining a safe, sanitary environment that supports food service operations in compliance with military standards and health regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Maintain cleanliness in dishwashing stations, dining areas, restrooms, and storage rooms
  • Operate dishwashing machines and ensure proper chemical usage
  • Remove trash and recycling, and maintain proper waste disposal procedures
  • Assist in cleaning floors, walls, and other surfaces throughout the kitchen and facility
  • Monitor sanitation supply inventory and alert supervisor when items need to be restocked
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
  • Comply with HACCP, food safety, and health department regulations
  • Support kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operation of the dining facility
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous experience in sanitation, janitorial, or food service roles is a plus
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to pass background check for military base access
Work Environment:

The Food Sanitation Specialist works in a military dining facility environment. This is a physically active role that requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain cleanliness standards in a high-volume setting.
