Job Summary and Qualifications:

In this role, you will assist with patient care in the operating room under the supervision of the OR Registered Nurse, acting as a vital sterile scrub person during surgeries. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up and maintaining sterile surgical fields using aseptic techniques while showcasing knowledge of human anatomy, surgical instruments, and procedures.
  • Assisting the circulating Registered Nurse with surgical equipment and patient positioning while managing supply needs.
  • Performing administrative tasks related to supply management to ensure an efficient workflow.

To qualify, you should have:

  • A degree from a Surgical Technology program or equivalent training (required).
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist and licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia (required).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment.
