What you'll do

Join Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) as a pivotal Data Center Architect, where you will lead the design and advancement of innovative software supporting modern data center operations. This key position will allow you to architect, oversee, and elevate crucial modules such as Repair API and Inventory Management, alongside other Remote Management Console (RMC) components essential for enterprise reliability and performance.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Architecting comprehensive Roma and RMC software solutions that enhance data center operations, ensuring reliability and scalability.
  • Leading the integration and evolution of essential modules, including Repair API and Inventory Management.
  • Ensuring smooth, secure, and dependable data and API integration across both cloud and on-premises infrastructures.
  • Overseeing effective strategies for data flow, monitoring, fault tolerance, and performance scalability.
  • Collaborating with engineering, operations, and product teams to build robust and future-ready architectures.
  • Driving best practices in system design, reliability engineering, and operational excellence.

What you'll bring

  • 15+ years of relevant engineering, architecture, or development experience.
  • Experience in operating cloud services or managing large distributed applications in a production environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of distributed system design and scalable cloud-native application deployment.
  • A strong team player with exceptional communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Adeptness in rapidly evolving software development environments.
  • Ability to swiftly learn new technologies and advocate for improved cross-team processes.
  • Extensive expertise in designing APIs, integration frameworks, and distributed systems at scale.
  • Proficient in monitoring, reliability engineering, and performance tuning.
  • Experience in building integrated cloud-native and hybrid (cloud/on-premise) systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership in guiding technical teams in mission-critical environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Salary and Benefits

The US hiring range for this position is from $136,600 to $338,500 annually. Candidates may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral. Oracle offers an extensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, and various other perks to support a balanced and fulfilling work-life.
