The Sr Data Scientist will work on data science initiatives and guide teams through the development of models and analytical frameworks. This role is responsible for collecting, storing, and interpreting data in a meaningful and clear way for our customers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive strategic data science initiatives to address key business challenges and opportunities.
  • Exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria on data science projects, overseeing the end-to-end process from problem definition to model implementation.
  • Interact with product teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments.
  • Design, develop, and implement algorithms and processes to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse "big data" sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement.
  • Influence and set technical standards and best practices across the data science team.
  • Have broad analytics experience or innovative knowledge and use skills to contribute to achieving company objectives in creative and effective ways.
  • Foster innovation by exploring and integrating emerging technologies and methodologies.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and results to leaders and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Create formal networks involving coordination among groups.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. PhD is preferred.
  • Proficiency with programming languages like Python, R, and SQL.
  • Detailed understanding of how data science models are designed and developed. Advanced expertise in machine learning is preferred.

  • Must be organized, detail oriented, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong data analysis and data modelling skills with good knowledge of statistics.
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience working across multiple functions.
  • Experience with large-scale data infrastructure and deployment in cloud environments (preferred).
  • Experience with advanced data engineering tools and frameworks (preferred).
  • Experience with strategic planning and influencing business strategy via data science (preferred).
