Work schedule: Normal business hours Monday-Friday 35 hours/week (not including mandatory unpaid meal break after 6 hours of work.

Duration: 10 Months

Pay Rate: $80 to $90 per hour

SCOPE OF SERVICES

NG911 - IT Security Project Manager

  • Provide Project Management expertise to security SMEs to test and deploy complex NG9-1-1 systems of the enterprise monitoring system.
  • Plan and coordinate meetings for testing of all required system hardware and software for the monitoring system to enable the monitoring system to perform predefined specifications.
  • Manage the schedule and validation of the systems for functionality, performance, fault tolerance and operation readiness.
  • Manage project plans associated with IT security management across Class 1, 2, 3, & Call Handling.
  • Ensure that NENA Standards and NIST security controls are documented and properly implemented with NG Class 1, 2, 3, & Call Handling project.
  • Work closely with executive level leadership, as well as internal and external stakeholders.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered

  • At least 8 years of experience in IT security project management role, managing administration of security policies (end to end) specifically related to Public Safety
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication ability with strong visual presentation and public speaking skills;
  • Experienced in interfacing with executive level management and giving senior level presentations.
  • Experience working with or for New York City government agencies.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience overseeing medium to large scale projects.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in vendor management;
  • PMP certification
  • Professional Security Certification (e.g., CISSP, GIAC, CISM).
  • Project and resource planning, WBS creation, proficiency in Microsoft Project and other project management software;
  • Solid technical experience in a large-scale enterprise environment for Emergency Services.
