ActioNet has an opportunity for a C2 Network Engineer requiring a Secret clearance located in San Diego County, CA. ActioNet is an IT service provider and solutions integrator headquartered in Vienna, VA that works with the Federal Government and Department of Defense.

Estimated Salary Range: $125,000/year

In this role, you will:

1. Install, modify, and troubleshoot LANs, WANs, and Virtual Networks at all levels of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) reference model Layer-1 (Physical), Layer-2 (Data), Layer-3 (Network), and Layer-4 (Transport).
2. Analyze test network infrastructure, develop recommendations, and implement improvements for improved network reliability and throughput for MCTSSA test and tactical networks.
3. Determine the effectiveness and efficiency of the test/engineering network infrastructure along with its participating Air C2 systems. Develop and implement strategies for improving test networks and further leveraging these systems to increase network communications capabilities or test infrastructures.
4. Investigate emerging LAN, WAN and Virtual Network technologies, to include those employed in USMC tactical networks, which provide a greater benefit to the current test and USMC tactical networks per the OSI Reference Model Layer-1 (Physical), Layer-2 (Data), Layer-3 (Network), and Layer-4 (Transport) solutions.
5. Collect network data from test and engineering events to support event analysis and reporting.
6. Possess and use operational expertise and technical knowledge of C2 system integration within LAN and WAN architectures.
7. Administer both Windows, LINUX, and Android based systems by ensuring that the most up-to-date version of the software is being used in accordance with the application ATO and program office directs and downloading any appropriate patch necessary for full functionality.
8. Configure virtualized server computing environment as required estimate at least once per month.
9. Deploy, configure, maintain, update, and troubleshoot the virtual infrastructure environments and network administrator workstations.
10. Define, plan, develop, analyze, and assess the network communications security architecture and incorporate security measures into tactical systems.
11. Provide planning to direct network data collection. Deploy, setup, and operate network data collection test tools during test events.
12. Author network technical documents as requested from customers.
13. Perform network data analysis, data reduction, and reporting in accordance with established plans and requested deliverables such as creation of test result figures/graphs/charts and authoring verbiage for Test Reports.
14. Troubleshoot technical issues with network components, DoD networks, RF communication links, satellite communications links, and ground communication systems.
15. Develop automated test tools to improve automation of network data collection and analysis via use of hardware test tools and/or scripting (Python, Power CLI, Power Shell, etc.), structure programming languages, MATLAB, JMP, MSVS, SCPI, etc.
16. Setup and configure in-band and out-of-band networks for data collection and analysis services in support of test events.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ability to apply C2 network expertise through technology processes, methodologies, standards, or frameworks.
• Expertise in developing and applying C2 network methodologies in an integrated test environment.
• Experience designing and implementing tactical network architectures for test events.
• Experience collecting, analyzing, and troubleshooting network data using Wireshark.
• Experience of industry networking best practices.

Desired Position Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with tactical test networks, NOC services, network infrastructure services, Fleet Marine Force (FMF) exercise networks, shipboard networking, and virtual networks.
• CompTIA Network+ Certification.
• CompTIA Security+ Certification.
• Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Certification.
• Cisco Certified Professional Certifications of CCNP Routing and Switching.
• Hands-on experience with Riverbed products or SolarWinds products.
