Your Role

As a Tax Specialist at H&R Block, you will benefit from a supportive expert team and receive comprehensive tax training to ensure your success. We offer the flexibility and extra earnings that allow you to embrace what makes your life uniquely yours.

  • Conduct tax interviews with clients using virtual tools such as video, phone, chat, and email.

  • Prepare thorough and accurate tax returns.

  • Drive business growth, enhance client retention, and promote additional products and services.

  • Assist clients with IRS support when needed.

  • Contribute to office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.

  • Expand your tax expertise and knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.

  • Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment.

  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

  • Willingness to work a minimum of 25-35 hours weekly throughout tax season, with the capacity to work up to 40 hours during peak weeks.

What You Bring to Our Team

  • Successful completion of H&R Block's Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Comfort with virtual tools such as video, phone, and chat.

  • Strong communication skills, both in-person and written.

  • Compliance with all IRS and applicable state requirements.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
