ICU RN Job Details

• Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Contract
• Location: Ashtabula, Ohio 44004
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: December 29, 2025
• End Date: March 30, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days, 3x12-hour shifts/week (07:00 AM – 07:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: ICU (15 beds, average daily census: 8)
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,837 - $2,041

ICU RN Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license or compact state RN license (required)
• Minimum 18 months of recent ICU nursing experience
• At least 1 year of total RN experience
• Previous ICU charge nurse experience (required)
• Experience with Epic EMR charting system
• Current AHA BLS & ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (must obtain prior to start)
• Two supervisory references in ICU specialty (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director)
• Negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen within 12 months of start
• Facility is 100% tobacco free
• Community hospital experience preferred

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver expert critical care nursing to adult and geriatric patients in the ICU
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, and ventilated patients
• Administer continuous IV sedation and monitor pulmonary artery/Swan Ganz lines
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, etc.)
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR
• Participate in rapid response and emergency situations
• Provide weekend coverage as needed
