Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Jefferson, LA
Assignment: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days, 5x8s
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Jefferson, Louisiana. This position focuses on comprehensive patient evaluation, treatment planning, and implementation of care that supports a safe and effective return to functional independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate assigned patients and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians

  • Deliver functional, goal-driven therapy sessions—individual, concurrent, and group—based on patient needs

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to address barriers to discharge and ensure timely planning

  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, safety, and home exercise programs

  • Complete timely and accurate documentation per facility and regulatory requirements

  • Ensure care is delivered under valid physician orders and insurance approvals

  • Participate in student education, professional development, and community outreach as assigned

  • Adhere to state practice acts, ethical standards, and organizational safety protocols

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Physical Therapy license in Louisiana (or eligible)

  • Prior inpatient or acute care/LTAC experience preferred

  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and time management skills

  • Familiarity with performance improvement practices and documentation systems
