As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our software is of the highest quality. You will be responsible for testing various components of our applications and ensuring they meet our rigorous company standards. This position requires you to work onsite in Overland Park, KS and may offer some hybrid working options.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct thorough manual functional, regression, and integration testing on new and modified software programs.
  • Develop, refine, and validate test plans and procedures to effectively identify defects, establish environment needs, and evaluate product features.
  • Maintain a comprehensive active test library that includes test scenarios, ensuring complete requirement coverage and regression support.
  • Engage in product design reviews, contributing insights on functional requirements, usability, and testing impacts.
  • Identify, document, and track defects while clearly communicating needs for additional functionalities.
  • Review and prepare both end-user and technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Estimate task timelines and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Be available for occasional on-call responsibilities as part of a rotational schedule.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL is essential, including the ability to write and create test scripts.
  • Strong understanding of technology and software quality assurance standards, combined with a natural inquisitiveness for problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical personnel effectively.
  • Capable of identifying issues logically and demonstrating strong troubleshooting skills to discover defects and gaps in requirements.
  • Ability to comprehend business requirements and develop detailed test specifications, plans, and scenarios.
  • A collaborative team player who can balance individual efforts to meet project deadlines while producing detailed and quality test documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with structured delivery processes and full lifecycle development using Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with web-based, PC-based, and mobile applications developed on platforms such as Java, Delphi, .Net, and Objective C, across Windows, Linux, and iOS environments.
  • At least one year of hands-on experience in writing manual test cases, plans, and executing tests.
  • Knowledge of test automation principles and its maintenance requirements.
