Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Tax Senior II to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $90,000 to $120,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax benefits for clients.
  • Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues and provide detailed analysis and recommendations.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing their tax-related inquiries and providing exceptional service.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff, providing training and support to enhance their professional development.
  • Assist with tax audits, including gathering documentation, responding to inquiries, and representing clients before tax authorities.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and tax provision calculations.
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification preferred.
  • 4-6 years of experience in public accounting or a corporate tax department.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • In-depth understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients and team members.
  • Proven experience in managing client relationships and delivering high-quality service.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and mentor junior staff.
