About this Role
The ComTran Group, Inc. is in need of an Inside Plant (ISP) Fiber Technician for repair and maintenance for Inside Plant for Google.
What You'll Do
-
This position is responsible for Reactive and Preventive maintenance and repairs to hubs, cabinets, etc,
-
Service and maintain equipment inside huts, cage sites and cabinets
-
Respond to outages
-
Troubleshoot and repair servers and routers
-
Answer and respond to outages after-hours and weekends when on call
What You'll Bring

In depth knowledge of fiber signaling and internet protocol

Installation of data center infrastructure

Knowledge of specialty tools including but not limited to OTDR, power meters, VFL, etc,
