We are looking for a compassionate in-home caregiver in Boone County and surrounding areas to join our growing team

We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and dependable caregiver to support a hospice client who needs thoughtful evening assistance and warm companionship. If you take pride in providing professional, dignified end-of-life care, this position offers meaningful work and steady hours.

This client is bright, opinionated, and enjoys conversation. Your role is to help her feel safe, comfortable, and supported as she winds down for the night.

You’ll assist with:

  • Showering & evening personal care

  • Bedtime routine support

  • Toileting & bedpan use

  • Safe transfers using a Hoyer lift
    (Nursing staff assist with the lift; you’ll help prepare, support, and ensure safety)

  • Warm companionship & engagement during the evening

Schedule

Evenings: 4 PM – 9 PM

  • Monday, Saturday, Sunday (open shifts)

  • Additional evenings available as needed

We support our caregivers so they can give their best

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 companionship and emotional support

  • Assist with showering, grooming, and toileting

  • Support safe transfers and fall prevention

  • Offer calm, steady communication during hospice care

  • Prepare simple evening meals if needed

  • Document care and communicate changes to the team

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of caregiving, in-home care, or healthcare experience

  • Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation

  • Ability to perform essential job duties

  • Compassionate, patient, reliable, and professional

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Comfortable learning equipment like Hoyer lifts (training provided)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
