Job Type: Full-Time Project-Based Management-Level

Join Layton Services as a Civil Construction Project Leader and spearhead transformative infrastructure projects in Central Ohio. This pivotal role encompasses managing every aspect of construction from pre-construction planning to project completion.

In this position, you'll collaborate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and site teams to drive the successful delivery of civil, excavation, and utility infrastructure projects on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities - Civil Project Manager:

  • Oversee project schedules and provide regular updates on progress
  • Facilitate and lead both internal and external project meetings
  • Manage the entire project lifecycle: from planning to execution and close-out
  • Handle procurement, material tracking, and vendor coordination
  • Maintain thorough project documentation and track any change orders
  • Manage financial aspects of the project, including:
    • AIA G702/G703 pay applications
    • Vendor invoicing and budget tracking
    • Implement value engineering and cost-saving measures
  • Ensure compliance with design specifications, client expectations, and OSHA safety regulations

What We Seek in a Candidate:

  • 4+ years of experience in managing civil construction, excavation, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Pay applications, change orders, and construction documentation
    • Civil site plans and utility drawings
  • Excellent organizational and leadership capabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and site safety best practices

Preferred (But Not Required):

  • Experience using Procore, Sage, or HeavyJob
  • OSHA Certification
  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
