Aircraft Freighter-Program Manager

Our client in the Los Angeles area is a division of a part of a leading design and manufacturer of aerospace products and is looking for a Sr Aircraft Lead Engineer and Program Manager for a contract assignmentThe position requites aircraft structures design working on a aircraft freighter conversion project or similar. Experience with previous aircraft freighter conversion design work preferred or experience with aircraft primary structures design such as fuselage, cargo door, wing etc etc. Proficiency with CATIA V5 required.
These positions are not for Boeing but they could involve work on Boeing or Airbus aircraft. These are potential long term contract positions and the pay is competitive with the current aerospace industry.

Program Manager:A Program Manager has the responsibility for designing, coordinating and improving the internal and external programs of an organization. They have managed the portfolio projects required to deliver the contractual end item product or service. In addition, they have had responsibility for enhancing the quality of existing programs; developing and implementing strategy for the program team; developing a robust risk mitigation plan; understanding how different projects interlink and overlap; working with HR to manage staff and resources for the program; liaising with the marketing and communications team to increase awareness of program; managing budgets and funding; reporting on program performance; developing industry partnerships; and ensuring relevant standards, process and regulations are upheld.
