We are looking for a Lead Backend Software Engineer who possesses a strong technical foundation and is adept at developing scalable distributed systems. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and is committed to engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain Microservices using Go, Python, and/or Java.
• Develop and maintain cloud-based software products following industry best practices.
• Create systems, services, and tools to support new product initiatives and business objectives, ensuring they can securely scale to manage millions of transactions.
• Enhance and scale our rapidly expanding online services and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security, reliability, and automation.
• Assist in the testing process by troubleshooting and resolving issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Over 5 years of engineering experience.
• Proficient in Go, Python, and/or Java, with a proven track record in building complex systems and applications.
• Strong database skills with experience in Postgres, MySQL, and data modeling.
• Familiarity with Web Frameworks such as Spring and Flask, and their associated ecosystems.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
• Capability to provide best practices and architectural guidance for backend applications and influence the architecture and tooling for our next-generation platform.
• Experience leading and managing projects from inception to completion.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and automated testing.
• Knowledge of containerization, microservices architecture, and CI/CD processes.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this full-time role is approximately $180,000 plus equity and benefits. The base pay offered may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
