Position Details:
Patient Population: Newborns; pediatric ED consults
Setting: Family Birth Center (L&D, Nursery), Emergency Department, Inpatient
Responsibilities:
- Daily rounding on newborns
- Coverage for newborn/delivery needs
- ED consultations
- Admit pediatric patients from the ED to inpatient (rare)
Required Procedures: Neonatal resuscitation; pediatric resuscitation support (airway management, venous access, etc.)
EMR System: Cerner
Support Staff: L&D nurses, OB/Gyn, Anesthesiologist, ED physicians, Hospitalists, Tele-Intensivists
Days Per Month: Not specified
On-Call/Weekends: 24/7 call; weekend requirement: Yes
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified or BE within 5 years Required
- Active State License Required
- DEA Required during credentialing
- Availability for specific dates (Jan 1 3) Required
