Description & Requirements

Maximus is currently seeking a Senior System Analyst.

The Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting complex application development, systems integration, and operational initiatives across enterprise environments. This role serves as a primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership to ensure that business requirements are accurately captured, translated, and implemented within system and process solutions. The incumbent applies industry-standard process-modeling practices, data-analysis techniques, and modern digital tools-including BPMN, SaaS integration frameworks, and AI-enabled platforms-to support system development, customer-experience enhancements, and continuous improvement efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Responsible for gaining a detailed understanding of components of the business and translating that knowledge into the requirements for systems or processes.

- Act as primary liaison between project business staff and technical staff.

- May lead area of requirements development including; work plan development, timeline, and resource management.

- Evaluate and recommend enhancements to application efficiency and reliability.

- May provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within job area.

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Serve as the primary point of contact with MAXIMUS project staff and/or clients to define and document business and technical requirements for assigned projects.

- Act as the principal liaison between business stakeholders and technical personnel to ensure alignment of project objectives, requirements, and deliverables.

- Develop a comprehensive understanding of business processes, operational workflows, and system components, and translate this knowledge into detailed functional and technical specifications.

- Lead or support requirements-development activities, including work-plan creation, task coordination, timeline management, and resource planning.

- Define and document data file extracts, automated process flows, report structures, and content specifications to support application development, enhancement, and maintenance activities.

- Support customer application development and systems integration efforts involving SaaS platforms, including CRM systems, customer-experience tools, document-management solutions, and financial ERP applications.

- Analyze and document system interfaces, data flows, and integration points across cloud-based and on-premises applications.

- Design, document, and produce ad hoc and recurring reports that summarize, analyze, and present data in support of project operations and decision-making.

- Participate in system testing, design reviews, and code walkthroughs to validate requirements and ensure compliance with quality standards.

- Audit, evaluate, track, and report on application performance and project activities to ensure adherence to QA/QC requirements.

- Provide support for system maintenance activities, including the assessment of change requests, troubleshooting of issues, and coordination of enhancements.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

- Demonstrated experience applying Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) for backlog refinement, user-story development, acceptance-criteria definition, and estimation using Jira or comparable tools.

- Proficiency in Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN 2.0) for documenting current-state and future-state workflows.

- Experience supporting customer application development and systems integration involving SaaS products, APIs, and cloud-based services.

- Experience supporting CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics, or comparable systems) and customer-experience technologies, including Genesys Cloud CX.

- Familiarity with digital-experience solutions, customer-journey mapping, and omnichannel service-delivery platforms.

- Experience working with document-management systems, workflow automation tools, and content-services platforms.

- Exposure to financial ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday, or similar) and understanding of financial data flows and business processes.

- Proficiency with AI-enabled analysis and documentation tools, including platforms that support automated requirements generation, data analysis, or process optimization.

- Experience with process-automation technologies (e.g., RPA tools such as UiPath, Blue Prism, or Power Automate).

- Strong working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).

- Understanding of data-modeling concepts, data governance principles, and data-quality frameworks.

- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams within large, matrixed organizational environments.

- Extensive experience working with Jira or similar work-management and tracking tools.

- Experience working with AWS Cloud services, including data-integration, analytics, and application-development components.

- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.

Pay Transparency

Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
