The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview:
The Mammography Technologist performs routine and advanced mammography procedures within the scope defined by regulatory and departmental standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
- ARRT Certification in radiography and mammography
- Valid NJ State licensure
- BLS through American Heart Association
- Compliant in maintaining current continuing education credits as required by the FDA/MQSA and ACR
- Previous Mammography experience
- Per Diem scheduling
- Day Shift
- Must be willing to cover other JW Breast Center sites as needed.
- Performs routine mammography, diagnostic mammography, breast biopsies as required. DEXA scan procedures and general x-ray's as required. Knowledge of QC for all mammography equipment. All technologists are required for coverage at satellite offices as needed
- Assists in maintaining QA and PI functions as directed. Understands and utilizes effective infection control, such as hand washing and universal precautions
- Reviews last mammography exam in McKesson PACS and reports in mammography RIS system Consults Radiologist and/or other
- Maintains technical competency in all digital technology related to mammography services: Mammography RIS, McKesson technology
- Accesses and enters computer data for various patient and information requirements. Knowledgeable of McKesson PACS and the Mammography RIS system
- Assists physician in coordinating information, materials and supplies before, during and after exam
- Performs all other duties as assigned
- Duties as assigned and cross coverage for any other JWBC facility.
