Consultant, Advanced Analytics

Parexel is looking for a Consultant, Advanced Analytics: Meta-Analysis (HTA Statistician) to join our team remotely.

• Location: Remote in the U.S.

The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years of expertise in:

• Network Meta-Analysis (NMA) and survival analysis

• Indirect Treatment Comparison (ITC)

• Meta-analysis and comparative effectiveness research

• HTA submission support and dossier development

• Collaborating with affiliates

Position Overview

The Consultant, Advanced Analytics: Meta-Analysis will play a pivotal role, contributing statistical expertise and methodological leadership throughout various projects. This role will involve mentoring junior team members and collaborating to create innovative client solutions, emphasizing professionals in statistical theory, data analysis, regression analysis, systematic review, and evidence synthesis methodologies.

The successful candidate will possess a Master's or Doctoral Degree in Health Economics, Health Policy, Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, or any related quantitative field. Proficiency in data analytics and statistical software/tools such as WinBUGS, R, Stata, Python, and SAS is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on clinical development program designs, ensuring that Access/HTA evidence requirements are integrated into global strategies.

• Identify evidence gaps, explore potential data sources, and develop robust evidence-generation plans.

• Synchronize Access/HTA evidentiary activities with other organizational functions, including Product Development and commercial teams.

• Plan and execute statistical analyses on clinical trials and other pertinent data, producing thorough technical documentation for analyses and economic models.

• Analyze and communicate findings, collaborating closely with affiliates to enrich local reimbursement applications with global statistical and health economics insights.

• Lead or contribute to cross-functional teams, enhancing the development of methodologies within the Evidence Chapter.

• Stay informed on evolving Access/HTA landscapes and engage with external experts in statistics, health economics, and policy.

Additional Responsibilities

The Consultant will ensure that projects are executed swiftly, maintaining quality and client satisfaction throughout the process, guiding Senior Associates and Associates as necessary. The Consultant's role includes:

• Preparing network meta-analysis protocols

• Reviewing data gathered from systematic literature reviews

• Conducting feasibility assessments

• Creating network diagrams

• Critically evaluating study heterogeneity

• Executing network meta-analysis

• Supporting the interpretation and dissemination of findings

The candidate will also foster thought leadership and innovation in advanced analytics, covering:

• Pairwise meta-analysis

• Mixed treatment comparison

• Indirect treatment comparison

• Network meta-analysis

• Match-adjusted indirect treatment analysis

• Meta-regression

• Single-arm trial analysis

• Simulated treatment comparison

• Surrogate outcome assessment

Skills & Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral-level degree in applied statistics, health economics, or a related quantitative field.

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry, consultancy, Access/HTA/reimbursement agency, or academia (pharma affiliate experience is advantageous).

• In-depth understanding of Access and HTA, along with clinical research and global payer evidence requirements.

• Strong knowledge of research design and statistical methods, including Generalized Linear Models, Survival Analysis, Network Meta-Analysis, and Bayesian statistics.

• Proficient in R and GitLab (experience with SAS, Python, WinBUGS, JAGS, or related statistical software is a plus).

• Excellent strategic, collaborative, and communication skills; strong organization and planning capabilities; ability to adhere to tight deadlines; and proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
