Farnsworth Group is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer in the below posting location. This is an exciting opportunity for a Transportation Project Manager who is looking to hone their project and client management skills while providing and making a direct impact to an already established growing organization

Posting Location for this role: Effingham, IL

Job Activities:
  • Serves as project manager with autonomy for project related tasks and as a designated client contact. May have project management responsibilities on multiple projects.
  • Responsibility for project schedules and timely completion of projects.
  • Assists in the coordination of estimating, scoping and marketing strategies for proposed projects.
  • Assists in the preparation of engineering agreements for projects.
  • Provides street and highway design engineering analysis and computations and will be Engineer of Record on some projects.
  • Prepares or modifies reports, specifications, plans, studies, permits and designs for various projects.
  • May delegate and/or supervise the work of other engineer's activities.
  • Actively participates in supporting business development efforts and attends client meetings and makes presentations in support of the client and projects.
  • Visits construction sites to monitor progress and other duties per contract documents
Specific Requirements include:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited Civil, Transportation, or Traffic Engineer program
  • 8-20 years transportation or traffic engineering experience
  • IDOT or local agency IL project experience is required
  • Licensed IL Professional Engineer, PE
  • Ability to manage and collaborate with Engineers, Technicians, Clients and Administrators
  • Ability to contribute to several projects simultaneously
  • Working experience with Microsoft Office, MicroStation, and ORD preferred

Salary Range: $105,000 - $125,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
