Unit: Physical Therapy
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week (5×8)
Pay Package:
- Gross Weekly: $3,014
- W2 Rate: $40/hr
- Weekly Stipend: $1,414
The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions in an acute and/or outpatient hospital setting. This role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes and functional independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' physical conditions and functional limitations.
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and patient education to promote recovery and mobility.
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and injury prevention.
- Maintain compliance with departmental policies, regulatory standards, and safety guidelines.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and quality improvement initiatives as assigned.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist (2 years preferred).
- Outpatient physical therapy experience preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (or higher).
- Active New York State Physical Therapist license in good standing.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities.
- Must meet all pre-employment health, credentialing, and compliance requirements.
