Position Summary

The University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine is accepting applications for a full-time Program Director of the CODA-accredited Advanced Education Program in Pediatric and Community Dentistry. An opportunity exists for a clinical track position at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor rank depending on qualifications and experience.

Position responsibilities include:
  • Program administration
  • Didactic and clinical teaching to post-graduate residents and predoctoral students
  • Development of scholarly activities
The successful candidate may participate in the faculty practice.

Minimum Qualifications
  • DDS, DMD or equivalent degree
  • Graduate of a CODA accredited advanced education program in pediatric dentistry
  • Board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry
  • 2 or more years of experience teaching post-graduate residents and a record of scholarly activity
Preferred Qualifications
  • Eligible for licensure in New York State
  • MS or PhD
  • Prior leadership in post-graduate programs such as course director or lecturer for predoctoral and postdoctoral students
  • Participation in national and international professional and scientific organizations
  • Sedation license and experience teaching sedation
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Additional Salary Information
Successful candidate will also receive compensation for residency director role.
