About The Position
Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: CT (Computed Tomography) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evenings Hours per Shift: 8 hours (3 PM - 11:30 PM) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Oregon License Required Certifications: BLS, ARRT (R) (CT) Must-Have: Ability to float from CT to radiology Description: Oregon License is required at the time of submission. No request for time off for the first week on assignment. Department: Radiology - CT (Computed Tomography). General certification requirements include BLS, ARRT, and other specialty certification requirements. The department has 2 CT scanners and 4 radiology rooms. The role may require coverage of other areas, including radiology. Common types of imaging/studies performed: All radiology (general x-ray, portables, OR) and all CTs (no biopsies). Average number of scans/studies per day: CT- 15-20, Radiology- 20-30. The department uses PACS and Meditech for electronic medical records. Specific equipment used includes GE for CT and radiology. There is a lead tech assigned for supervision. Registered Radiology Assistants may be utilized during the week. An in-house radiologist is available; graveyard shifts are remote. Starting IVs is a requirement for CT procedures. The schedule includes requirements for weekends and holidays if they fall on a shift. There is no call or standby requirement. Scrubs are provided by the facility. Additional notes indicate flexibility in floating between CT and radiology is needed. The facility holds the right to cancel up to 4 shifts during the assignment duration. Charting system used is Meditech. A BSN is not required for this position. License is necessary for submission. The care setting is acute. The division for this role is Allied Health.
