(Sr) Tax Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $75,000 to $120,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file tax returns using Lacerte software in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct thorough tax accounting and analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Review financial statements and journal entries to maintain accounting accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members to complete financial reports and meet deadlines.
- Communicate with clients to address inquiries and provide effective tax planning strategies.
- Demonstrate proficiency in preparing payroll and sales tax returns.
- Show experience in reviewing financial statements and posting journal entries.
- Utilize QuickBooks and Lacerte software to manage and process financial data.
- Apply knowledge of GAAP and current tax regulations to ensure compliance.
- Possess strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word for documentation and analysis.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with relevant tax experience.
- 3+ years of experience in tax preparation and accounting.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in both oral and written formats.
- Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of financial reporting.
