Survoys Superior Service is expanding our commercial kitchen capabilities to include hot-side equipment repair and maintenance. We specialize in creating long-term service partnerships with restaurant groups, food service operators, and hospitality clients. As part of our growth, we're adding an experienced Hot Side Senior Service Technician to lead this initiative and grow our hot-side service offerings.

This role is ideal for a hands-on, independent technician who can diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial kitchen cooking equipment such as fryers, grills, ovens, and toasters. You'll be the go-to expert for hot-side repairs, responsible for troubleshooting, sourcing parts, and delivering first-time fixes that keep our customers' kitchens running efficiently.

You'll be part of a collaborative team but trusted to work independently in fast-paced restaurant environments. The right person will have the drive and technical expertise to help build this new service line and shape future success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hot-side commercial cooking equipment (fryers, grills, ovens, toasters, etc.)
  • Source and order parts independently with minimal supervision
  • Complete service calls from start to finish with professionalism and accuracy
  • Ensure first-time fix rate of 75% or higher and avoid repeat service calls
  • Partner with service dispatch, procurement, and management to coordinate repair schedules
  • Provide excellent customer service in high-volume, busy kitchen environments
  • Identify additional sales opportunities while on-site to grow the hot-side service line
  • Maintain detailed service records through ERP or service software systems
Qualifications Required:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial kitchen equipment repair (hot-side focus)
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions in the field
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Comfortable working in active kitchen environments (heat, fast pace, limited space)
  • Basic ERP or work order management system proficiency
Preferred:
  • Experience repairing Turbo Chef, Merrychef, or similar high-end cooking systems
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to grow and establish new service offerings
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs. and move heavy objects
  • Comfortable in tight spaces and extreme temperatures. Endurance to stand or kneel while on equipment
  • Confident on ladders and at heights up to 45 feet (sometimes higher)
  • Steady hands for electrical work and precise measurements
