3 - 4 years of Tax Accounting / General Ledger - bookkeep
3 - 4 years W-2's and W-3, 1099's and 1096, State reconciliation reports 940 reconciliation report.
1+ years recently working for a Tax Accounting firm
High level understanding GAAP
Must have experience prepping Sales Tax Reports
Enrolled Agent; Tax preparation software
Bachelor's degree
DUTIES:
Prepare and deliver financial statements for clients in a timely manner
Accurately perform high volumes of data entry on a timely fashion for multiple clients, answer accounting questions for clients.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts: bank accounts, credit cards, and payroll liabilities, prepare amortization schedules.
Prepare monthly financial reports and deliver to client on a timely manner.
Identify and record all possible liabilities engaged by the client
Request and secure from clients all the necessary information to keep a good record of the accounts.
Upkeep proper records for each client following the formats established within he company, And may assist on the yearly preparation of payroll forms such as: W-2's and W-3, 1099's and 1096, State reconciliation reports 940 reconciliation report.
Prepare sales taxes reports.
Perform general accounting functions and interacting with clients to gather information
Respond to tax authorities on behalf of clients and assist clients with tax audits
Identify tax issues and work with Managers to determine timely and efficiently including impact of enacted and proposed legislation
Prepare quarterly/annual payroll tax returns and related tax deposits
Assist Managers in providing tax compliance and advisory services to clients in various industries
Prepare business and individual federal and state tax return
