We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide exceptional care in our Adult Respiratory Service line. This role is vital for treating patients of all ages in acute and critical care settings in accordance with physician orders and departmental policies.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver respiratory therapy procedures aligning with physician orders and guidelines - 20%
  • Obtain and analyze blood gas samples, accurately reporting results - 10%
  • Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation for diverse patient needs - 20%
  • Handle airways and associated equipment proficiently - 10%
  • Document all procedures accurately and provide patient education - 10%
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and provide complete reports - 10%
  • Uphold cleaning protocols and infection control standards - 10%
  • Ensure responsible use of resources, including time and supplies.

Requirements

You should possess a degree from a recognized Respiratory Therapy program and meet licensing requirements in South Carolina. You must also maintain BLS and NBRC credentials. For those hired after June 2016, passing the Therapist Multiple Choice Exam and the Clinical Simulation Exam within the first six months is essential for continued employment.
