About Cox Automotive Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is the leading provider of on-site mobile maintenance and repair services for light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers nationwide, through its fleet of 1,200 mobile service trucks. WHAT WE DO Maintenance, such as changing oil or oil/fuel filters, inspecting vehicles for mechanical deficiencies, checking battery, auxiliary pumps and engines, tire pressures, headlights, and lubricating equipment. Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical/brake/cooling systems, hydraulic systems, starters/alternators, air conditioning systems, fan clutches, engine electronics, power steering systems, engines (gas and diesel), transmissions (manual and automatic), clutches, and/or differentials. Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers and vendors. Maintain safety culture and compliance. Purchase and retrieve parts. Maintain company-issued service truck. Utilize relevant information technology and applications for documenting work. How We Do It: Mechanical Vehicle Maintenance Information Technology Savvy Customer Service Time Management Entrepreneurial Nature & Independent Mindset Deploying Safety Equipment, Devices, and Procedures Critical Thinking What's Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required. Candidate must hold a valid state-of-residence driver's license, be able to obtain and maintain their Driver Qualification File. Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Diesel Technician on Class 6-8 types of vehicles. Ability to work flexible hours according to customer needs. Proficiency in using information technology, including mobile devices and other appropriate technology. A current and valid DOT medical card with more than four (4) months remaining until its expiration may be submitted in leu of a DOT physical. If the DOT medical card has four (4) months or less of validity remaining, a DOT physical will be required. What's Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
