Job Purpose: As a Fleet Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in the mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of our industrial vehicles and emergency stationary engines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on industrial vehicles and emergency engines.
  • Conduct bench work for fleet equipment maintenance and spare parts assembly.
  • Execute preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements for reliability.
  • Conduct failure analyses and troubleshoot equipment problems.
  • Maintain and repair mechanical components and electrical systems in compliance with SOPs and safety policies.
  • Participate in general maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Manage fleet maintenance contracts and service work as assigned.
  • Order and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Maintain orderly records of work performed.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to achieve objectives.
  • Adapt work shifts and schedules as necessary, including on-call duties.
  • Report maintenance and safety issues promptly to supervisors.
  • Support ongoing procedural improvements and equipment upgrades.
  • Embrace additional responsibilities as needed to support company goals.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or certification in mechanical technology preferred.
  • Proven mechanical troubleshooting skills with knowledge of power transmission and fluid power.
  • Familiarity with electrical troubleshooting principles for fleet vehicles.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and service manuals.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude with proficiency in using measuring devices.
  • Fabrication and welding skills may be an advantage.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, and quality-conscious.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various conditions.
  • Capable of operating basic shop equipment safely.
  • Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces.
