The LPN Unit Manager w/ $5000 sign on bonus will work in conjunction with the Director of Nursing to coordinate and manage the clinical services for nursing, assisting in the responsibility and coordination of nursing care services provided to all residents of the facility. sign-on bonus paid out in three 90-day increments This position is salaried.

Responsibilities of the RN or LPN Unit Manager:
  • Manage and direct Nursing Department in partnership with and in the absence of Director of Nursing (DON), making necessary decisions, etc.
  • Make clinical rounds of all stations.
  • Conduct clinical assessment; use critical thinking and coordinate professional standards of care.
  • Develop, review and revise care plans to accurately reflect Resident needs. Manage incident/accident practices to comply with State/Federal regulations as directed by the Director of Nursing (DON).
  • Manage and participate in the discharge / transfer process to ensure proper nursing services; complete, accurate, and timely documentation.
Qualifications and Skills of the RN or LPN Unit Manager:
  • Must have, as a minimum 1-year experience as a supervisor in a long-term care health care or skilled nursing facility.
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN or LPN in MD.
  • Must be knowledgeable in various computer programs, system applications, and other office equipment.
  • Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies & procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care.
  • Must have basic knowledge of professional, State, Federal, and regulatory standards.
