Recreational Aide Long Term Care

Our Client, a Healthcare company, is looking for a Recreational Aide Long Term Care for their Waimea, HI location.
Responsibilities:
Activity Planning and Implementation:
- Independently plan, organize, and implement appropriate activities tailored to patients'/residents' abilities and limitations under the supervisor's general guidance.
- Collaborate with the supervisor to assess and reassess residents' activity interests, needs, and concerns through observation, conversations, and written records.
- Support residents' reintegration into the community by accompanying them on excursions, such as shopping malls, theaters, restaurants, picnics, bus/van rides, and other leisure activities.
- Provide one-on-one engagement with patients/residents as needed.
- Coordinate with hospital staff to ensure the availability and functionality of supplies, equipment, and materials for planned activities.
- Avoid schedule conflicts with other hospital departments or disciplines.
- Maintain and update the activity calendar.
- Work with the hospital's dietary department to request special or ethnic food selections.
- Notify dietary staff about off-site meals or schedule changes.
Requirements:
- MUST HAVE a minimum of 2 years of Recreational Aide experience-no exceptions.
- Experience with MDS is essential.
- Active BLS certification is required.
- CNA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
