Hours: Monday to Friday, during school hours and after school

Behavioral Support Technician Responsibilities:

  • Implement behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

  • Deliver direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)

  • Collect and document data on client progress and behaviors; assist in creating individualized treatment plans

  • Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to maintain consistency in treatment methods

  • Help clients develop and enhance social, communication, and daily living skills

  • Utilize positive reinforcement strategies to promote desired behaviors

  • Ensure a safe and encouraging environment for clients

Behavioral Support Technician Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with individuals with autism or similar developmental challenges is preferred, but not mandatory

  • Understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) concepts is advantageous

  • Ability to follow directions and apply behavior intervention plans effectively

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrates patience, empathy, and compassion while engaging with individuals with special needs

  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Exhibit responsibility, reliability, and respectfulness

  • Passion for working with children
