Position Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) for travel assignments in various healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will assist in emergency medical care by supporting nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include performing basic patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring efficient emergency department operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in emergency procedures, including CPR and wound care.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to medical staff.
- Assist with patient transport, triage, and room preparation.
- Perform basic medical procedures, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
- Maintain emergency department equipment and supplies.
- Provide emotional support and communication to patients and families.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols.
- Travel to assigned healthcare facilities as needed.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; EMT certification or formal ED Tech training preferred.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in an emergency or acute care setting.
- Skills: Strong teamwork, ability to work under pressure, and knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to accept travel assignments and relocate as needed.
