Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Telemetry Nurse, you will provide exceptional, patient-centered care that aligns with our department standards and practices. You will work in collaboration with medical staff to ensure high-quality, personalized care, advocating for patients and their families at every step.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing patient conditions upon admission and during each shift, promptly noting any changes in status.
  • Performing medical procedures and monitoring as ordered, ensuring proper documentation in patient's medical records.
  • Administering medications and monitoring for their effects, addressing any adverse reactions appropriately.
  • Responding to patient needs with urgency and anticipating their requirements for outstanding care.
  • Educating patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and medications using clear, understandable language.
Qualifications
  • ACLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
  • BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Associate Degree required; BSN must be pursued, with enrollment in 12 months and completed within 24 months (Magnet Hospital).
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting required.
