Location: Coraopolis, PA (with frequent travel to client sites in North America and occasional international projects)
Reports To: Site Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary The Site Supervisor (Field Service Engineer) is responsible for leading technical activities at customer sites, supervising installation, start-up, and commissioning equipment-particularly roll grinders and roll shop equipment. This position provides specialized knowledge in mechanical systems, micrometric alignment, and proprietary processes, ensuring successful project execution in compliance with quality, safety, and customer requirements. The role also provides critical feedback to engineering teams and supports continuous improvement of products and services.
Key Responsibilities
• Project Support & Execution o Support the Site Manager in achieving project milestones (End of Erection, PAC, FAC) within budget, schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
o Supervise the installation, calibration, and commissioning of CNC Roll Grinding machines and related equipment in steel mill environments.
o Carry out material/equipment inspections (OPI), organize and follow-up on erection/commissioning activities.
o Ensure proper organization of site operations, safety compliance, and reporting.
